In 2017, Edmonton became the first Canadian municipality to host a voluntary building energy benchmarking program that will lay the foundation for Edmonton’s transition to a low-carbon, sustainable energy future by making building energy performance more accessible. The program aims to compile and compare building energy consumption across Edmonton’s large building stock in order to benchmark building energy performance, facilitate energy efficiency improvements and greenhouse gas reductions in existing buildings. Attend this Lunch and Learn to learn more about how Edmonton’s Building Energy Benchmarking Program can help you understand energy use in your buildings and discover energy savings opportunities. Attendees will learn about how to participate in the program, details on the benefits of participating, commercial building success stories, and information on available incentives for energy efficiency.
